It had been a long night. One of echoing screams, battle cries, and the fire crackling. In a moment of peace, Sadie sat down behind a mostly unscorched building to catch her breath. Even as a farmer tending to her land, this was exhausting on its own, but the fires wouldn't put themselves out, nor would medical treatment come to those in need on its own, and even then, there was still more to do once her fellow chows defeated this beast.

She stretched, hearing a couple of pops of her joints before turning her attention to the axe in her lap that she borrowed from another chow. It felt like a silly idea, throwing herself into the fight while she could be helping escort other chowlings out and assisting them when she could. Then again, if she could help out in the slightest battle-wise, it would minimize the amount of rebuilding that would come in the morning. She huffed, tilting her head back and letting it hit the wall. What a dilemma to have now, but better to have it now than in the middle of battle.

Sadie stayed this way for a while, furrowing her brows in thought. She had used an axe on multiple occasions when she needed to chop wood for the stove or to aid in uprooting stumps, but never in a fight. Sighing, Sadie finally decided and grasped the axe in her gloved hands. She'd be here all day if she kept fighting herself on this, and she had been here long enough that she didn't feel as tired as she was previously. Sadie propped herself up on the axe, using the handle to stand and straighten up before holding it correctly.

Enough dilly-dallying. Time to find the beast.

Looking up towards the sky, she searched it for smoke billowing from fires yet to be put out. Once she found her target, an even darker cloud than the rest that was particularly thick, she pulled her bandana up over her muzzle and began a light jog toward the source of the smoke. Avoiding loose roots and scattered bushes, she could hear the sounds of fighting the closer she got. The roars of The Chimera in pain, her fellow chows shouting commands, and a distinct fwoosh sound of The Chimera breathing fire and lighting the ground ablaze were the sights and sounds that greeted her when she finally stepped into view.

The present danger made her recoil momentarily, she hadn't gotten a good look at it until now, and the shock made her halt in her steps, staring at the massive beast even though it was still a ways away from her. It took a moment to shake off the shock and steel herself before rushing towards the group of chows currently striking The Chimera with either claws or weaponry. She told herself everything would be fine if she stuck with the group and followed orders. She wasn't the only one who didn't know anything about combat, and it soothed her nerves. A brutal battle was ahead, but they were here to win it.
