A new year has begun, everyone is excited and planning goals for the future. I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for me! Although, to make things happen I need a goal and even a plan; but we can save the small details for later.
So to my future self, what do you wish for? Would you like to see the stars in the night sky? Perhaps explore the mountains? I think I know what... a hobby sounds nice. We should start a bug museum! So many people are not aware of these creatures' and how they affect the ecosystem. They are a needed species and do good for the environment, even if some may be scary. It would be nice to have information on each and what they all look like, but that will take time. For now, I should start off small and find a place to start this new adventure!
Although, just one goal isn't enough. There should be more than one thing I want to do this year; but I already have a big goal, so maybe smaller ones? I think two would be good for my future self. Thinking about bugs has made me realize that I don't even own one though. Never have. Before starting a bug museum and teaching others, I should learn more about them myself. Maybe through owning a few, I can understand them better! Just one for now seems good, but what kind of bug should I get? Tarantulas scare me, and scorpions just aren't my thing. A leaf bug then? I really like them and how their camouflage is. It's a unique way to hide from predators in the wild! So first, I'll do research on them and figure out the best way to keep them, then we can move on and actually get one.
There’s only one goal I need left for this year. Perhaps something simple and easy to do at my own home. Cooking might be good… I usually just get take out, but it would be a nice skill to have; plus I could eat healthier. It would be best to start while I get the other two goals up and running!
I think that's all for now. While writing this it has made me smile, thinking of the things I could do and enjoy. Hopefully these goals will help others and myself! I’m looking forward to seeing what happens this year!!
