"Alright come on now don't dilly dally!" Cupid called over their shoulder as they ran along the street sidewalk passing chows one by one. Further behind them within the crowd was the lonely chow they'd been designated to help in this day of love and adoration. Previously they had been in the cafe but Cupid had bolted announcing they knew where to go now. "H-Hey wait up at least!" The other called out in a exhausted tone. Cupid paused a bit at their callings and sighed before slowing down letting the other catch up with them. "Alright Alright! just hurry up, valentines day is only one day out of the year and we can't spend too much time preparing everything!" The other chow was panting as they slowly caught up with them before collapsing on the ground pathetically. "I get it, but... Why must you go so fast? I don't really work out you know..." At that Cupid smacked the other's forehead bonking them repeatedly as they frowned "Come onnnn! where's your spirit of vitality! you can't just lie here and expect anything to change by itself!" The other chow covered their forehead breathing out tiredly as they shut their eyes whilst the other continued to bonk on their head until they spoke "I-I get it!" They moved getting up before blowing air out of their nostrils huffily "You don't have to hit so hard.." They grumbled whilst Cupid hopped from the left to the right "Yeah yeah! come on then! no time to lose!" With that the other turned and scattered downwards with the other in tow. The two went for a long while before coming up on a small store within the cities confines. The two looked up at it as the store stood with brightly colored decorations all indications of the days of valentines day's festivities as hearts and hearted balloons overtook the outerterior of the shop. Lookibg at it, Cupid squished their own face exxcitedly "Yes! look at that man! It's perfect..." They moved and pulled the other chow alongside with them who sighed tiredly before the two entered. As they did so a bell echoed in the shop and a chow emerged from behind the counter resting their paws on it as they greeted the two. "Good evening to you both! What can I do you for?" They spoke up cheerily whilst cupid waved in greeting "Just looking around thank you!" "Take your time~" The chowling pushed up their glasses carefully before returning to setting up plushies behind the counter. The lonely chowling watched this then turned to say something to Cupid however the other was already darting off to survey the merchandise as the chow fluffed up speaking out. "H-Hey wait-!" They scurried over to cupid who hummed in response as the chow whispered "What exactly is going on here? what's so special about this store??" They whispered to the other before Cupid looked to them and spoke up "You silly goose isn't it obvious? it's what the store causes is what were here to see! every valentines day is different right? well heres your chance to see how!" They nodded to themselves matter of factly before pushing the lonely chow a bit to the side "Shh! here comes a few!" Ducking behind a stack of plushies, The two poked their heads out and watched as a trio of chows came in. a mother,father and child it seemed. The child excited hurried to a stack of plushies speaking "This one!" They called out as their father shook their head "Hey careful! are you sure you want the first thing you see to be what you get? why not look over everything and then pick?" The mother nodded agreeably as she chimed in "Yes, we can't have you regretting your present to your sister now can we?" The kid paused before dejectedly placing it back their folded ears lowering mumbling "That's true, i dont want her to hate the present i get her..."
