The parents watched as the young chow put the doll back away and quietly courted him towards looking at the other gifts. As they did, the lonely chowling pulled back and spoke up "I don't get it. Why is the kid buying their sister a gift? isn't valentines day about love between significant others?" They mumbled causing cupid to take a step back from their hiding spot and speak up "You got it wrong! Valentines day isn't just about that. it's about the love shared by everyone that's why it's such a celebrated holiday! You can spend the day with family, loved ones.....Orrrr the one you most love" They smirked as the other seemed to turn red at the last sentence. With a laugh the other moved and patted their back amusedly "Hey I'm joking! Don't worry!" They nodded to themselves before pulling back and padding off with the other following after them "I see, so I can celebrate even with my family..." The lonely chowling spoke still watching the trio of family as they reached the counter the young chowling now holding a pink dinosaur that had hearts on it instead of normal spikes. "They seem so happy.." The lonely chowling spoke aloud in a seemingly jealous tone.. "Yeah... I hope they are if I'm honest.." Cupid smiled sadly watching the scene before looking to the other "A gift doesn't have to be huge you know, you can get a gift that to you means a lot but isn't high in monetary value..." They looked back to the family their eyes glittering with fondness "People can feel the love you put into things even if you think your idea is silly. No matter what there will always be someone out there who appreciates the thought you know?" The lonely chowing glanced towards cupid watching them as their eyes glistened at the family, as they watched their face felt a bit warmed and they quietly looked away not wanting to be caught staring before speaking "I hope that's true... I feel like everything i do isn't really enough...in anything..." They lowered their eyes as Cupid breathed a sigh out and replied "The fact you're so concerned with it means how much effort you're putting in! Try not to put yourself down so much over not knowing what your own love language is, you'll figure it out." They spoke fondly their words kind and sincere as they smiled, though they paused and spoke up more so "Okay anywho! come on we should head off to the next spot!" They pulled away and started heading out, once Cupid had left the store The lonely chowling glanced back and forth before pulling away and heading to the plushies stacked up high where he quietly picked up a manta ray with various hearts on its back side. He examined the backside of it before a smile appeared on his face and he scurried back to the front counter. Outside of the store was Cupid seated and waiting on the other, as they sat there they hummed a bit quietly before examining their halo as it moved in between in its paws. Once the lonely chowling came out, Cupid perked up at them and spoke up "hey there's the guy! Took you awhile to come out...What were you doing?" They tilted their head in curiosity as the other beamed at Cupid "Just.... getting a few things you know!" They held up a small box that was tied up in ribbon causing Cupid to perk up and excitedly go over to shake them eagerly "Look at yoooou! Big guy this is great! Okay come on then our next stop!" They pulled and began heading off to their next destination as the other looked after them and headed after them
