Species: Chowling (Parasite (Lineage), Gen 0 Parasite (Ancient) subtypes)
Body distortion

Body Distortion is characterized by body horror features such as multiple body parts, exposed body parts, living body parts, etc. When the Body Distortion ability is activated, the Parasite Chowling goes unconscious and the ability ‘takes over’ the body, transforming the Chowling into a distorted version that acts out in defense of itself.

  • The body can become twisted and distorted to create a version that does not even resemble their original anatomy.
  • Chowlings cannot grow larger in this form, they are limited to their original height.
  • Body Distortion has very little strict guidelines, but needs to be recongisable as distorted.

Fear projection

Fear projection (Lineage)

Category: Chowling Traits
Species: Chowling (Parasite (Lineage), Gen 0 Parasite (Ancient) subtypes)
Fear projection

Parasites with this ability do not have any physical traits associated with it. When this ability is activated, a secondary entity is unconsciously conjured from the body of the Parasite and takes the form of their fear. The secondary entity can take either a physical form or a ghostly/spiritual form, which acts separately from the Parasite. After being activated, an alternate reality is created around the threat where it will be trapped and stalked by the entity until they can either make an escape from the reality, or until the ability wears off.

Fear projction Attributes
  • The entity can take on any form of shape but is limited to the strength of the Chowling they emerged from, and often resemble that inner strength.
  • The Fear Projection ability can be stopped in three ways: finding the exit (Characterized by distorted edges), survive until the Chowling runs out of strength to hold up this form, or eliminate the Chowling entirely.
  • The alternate reality can resemble any sort of environment, but the only two living beings that can be within it are the Chowling and their entity.

Berserker form (Lineage)

Category: Chowling Traits
Species: Chowling (Monster (Lineage), Behemoth Monster (Ancient) subtypes)
Berserker form

Monsters are well known for their powerful Berserker forms. Berserker forms are a stronger and sometimes larger version of the original Chowling form. They may even change subtly during this transformation. The way a Berserker form looks varies from Chowling to Chowling, the form is unique to each individual while still sharing similar traits.

  • A Monster Berserker can grow up to four times its original size.
  • While Monsters can naturally have multiple limbs, Monsters cannot grow extra ones in their Berserker form.
  • The anatomy can be stretched a bit by making longer muzzles, bulkier bodies, longer teeth etc.
Visual example

Guidelines

  • The Berserker form cannot change in color. It needs to follow the same colors and markings as the original design.
  • You can exaggerate existing traits on your Chowling when they turn berserk, such as claws, horns, teeth, eyes, etc.
  • Traits can be added when a Monster Chowling goes berserk, but make sure they still fall within the trait guidelines.
  • Berserker forms should still represent accurate Chowling body anatomy. Berserker Forms are not Parasite Forms.
  • A Chowling can grow 4 times it's original size when going berserk, MAX. They cannot shrink from their original size when berserk.
  • The example above is a correctly designed Berserker form, it still respects the original design of the Chowling but some of their features are exaggerated + they grew scales which is a legal Chowling trait.
